Skillfast is the Sector Skills Council for apparel, footwear, textiles and related businesses. As a Sector Skills Council, we exist to help employers to compete in a global market, by ensuring access to a skilled workforce, capable of delivering the added-value products and services the world market requires.

The sector as a whole (manufacturing, trading and servicing) is dominated by small and medium-sized employers. In fact, more than 80% of establishments in this sector have fewer than ten employees.
